Pumpkin Pie Smoothie Bowl .jpg

The perfect breakfast for a brisk fall morning! I don't know about you guys, but when the leaves start to change color and the smell of autumn is in the air I got nuts over pumpkin! One morning I decided to throw it in my smoothie and it was divine. Smooth, creamy, and everything that fall would taste like if it were food. I hope you guys enjoy this recipe as much as I do!

Smoothie base:

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin (more or less depending how strong you want it)
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 tbsp maca powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1-2 dates
  • Dash of nut milk

  • Mixed nuts
  • Chia seeds
  • Hemp seeds
  • Coconut flakes
  • Dates
  • Cinnamon

1. Blend bananas and nut milk in a high speed blender until thick and creamy. The trick here is not to add too much milk or else it will be too liquidy (unless you are going for a drinkable smoothie, then that's totally fine). Be patient with this, you will have to stop your blender and mix it around a few times but the end product is an amazing ice cream type texture!

2. Add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.

3. Poor into a bowl and top with your toppings! Have fun with it. Make it into an art project. It makes it way more fun to eat when it's pretty ;)
